'David Gets A Grilling From South Shields Firefighters'

David Miliband, MP for South Shields, recently met Fire Fighters at the South Shields Fire Station.

Mr Miliband visited the Fire Station to talk to Fire Fighters about their dispute with the Government, taking this opportunity to listen to their side of the argument and their concerns.

David Miliband said, "I know that Fire Fighters in South Shields and elsewhere are dedicated, highly skilled and brave people. Everyone agrees that their pay formula needs to be revised. This meeting was a very useful chance for me to hear at first hand the concerns of our Fire Fighters'.
