'Making the Lottery less of a Gamble for South Tyneside' David Miliband MP today gave the keynote address to a conference aimed at making the application process for National Lottery grants less of a gamble. Speaking at the Customs House, David Miliband said "Community and Voluntary organisations are a great part of our community. The Lottery is there to help them grow. It can provide money for buildings and staff. "I want to see South Tyneside get it's fair share of resources - that means making sure the Lottery grants system is free of red tape and encourages applications from South Tyneside. "I hope today's conference helps create the enthusiasm to develop a thriving voluntary sector in our Borough." |
