'David Milliband MP at Shaw Trust South Shields'

Shaw Trust Job Brokers in South Shields will be welcoming David Milliband MP to their office in Fowler Street on Friday 27th June at 1.30pm. During his visit Mr Milliband will meet local people who have registered for work with Shaw Trust Employment a specialist recruitment service for unemployed disabled people and those with ill health. Now celebrating 21 years of operation, Shaw Trust is a national disability charity that provides training and work opportunities for over 14,000 disabled and disadvantaged people each year.

Shaw Trust Manager in South Shields Debbie Farquharson adds, "This is an exciting time for Shaw Trust in South Shields; in the last 12 months over 300 disabled people have gained work with our support. We're delighted that David can be with us, meet our clients and see for himself how we're finding work for a whole range of disabled people and those with ill health. We're also hoping to hear that we have an agreement to continue working here because our government contract runs out next year."
