Warden Achievement Awards

David Miliband MP today met a very special lady, Community Warden Hazel Burns.

Hazel, part of the South Tyneside Community Wardens scheme, is to be given a Personal Achievement Award at the Warden Achievement Awards.

The award, which recognises Hazel's outstanding contribution to the Warden scheme, will be made at the national Warden Achievement Awards 2003 to be held in Harrogate on November 14th.

David Miliband MP said

"Hazel has gone beyond the call of duty to harmonise relationships in her community, helping to run a successful residents association and coaching youngsters in football skills. I am delighted to hear of her achievements, and wish Hazel and the other wardens every success in the future"
